This light blue clam-shaped centerpiece vase is not just a beautiful example of Australian post-war decorative pottery, but also a piece of social history.


The surface is rough and speckled, adding an organic look and feel to your dining or living room décor. Made by the now highly collectible Pates Pottery Sydney, it's in excellent vintage condition with just one pinhead spot on the top edge (see image #5).

Apart from this, there are no other chips, cracks, discoloration, or even signs of crazing. Pates Pottery was established by Alfred James Pate in 1946 at Belmore, a suburb of Sydney, Australia, and at its peak of production in the 1950s and 60s employed more than 100 people.

Every item of jewelry we sell is in wearable condition. If there are any stones missing, we will identify them in photos and our descriptions. The hotsell same applies if there is a minor issue with an item, e.g., it requires a minor repair. Likewise, we will point out any tarnish, scratches, loss of plating, etc.
