Pair of early antique carved wood miniature Folk Art shoes with brass inlay hotsell decoration

Pair of early antique carved wood miniature shoes with inlaid brass decoration measuring 1 1/8" tall by 2 1/2" long. Quite charmingly rendered they have a distinct Folk Art feel to them. They look to be made of either cherry or mahogany wood and have tiny brass tacks inlaid all around. The triangle cut hotsell outs in the toe of each shoe seem to be intentional. There is some chipping to the wood at the back top of one that was there when these shoes were originally carved in the 19th Century.
