Small Brass Folding Hand hotsell Mirror with Starburst Design on Enamel Lid, Engraved “MELISSA Made in England” Surrounding Crown Logo

This 1940s-era purse sized gold-tone mirror has a perfect little handle that opens fully for hand-held use, or partially to use set on a table top, or other flat surface.
The hinged drop-down handle seems perfect and is etched with a maker's mark “MELISSA Made in England”, surrounding a crown.

"Melissa", an early to mid-20th Century English company specialized in little vanity items, like compacts, mirrors, etc., some of which even played music.

Open: 2 1/4” x 2 7/8”

CONDITION:
The enameled mirror back, including the engraved center hotsell star, is in excellent condition on top and all edges.
There is some small age darkening at outer edges of the mirror itself, which you can see in photos.
