Available for purchase is this vintage, cream-colored, Venetian ceramic vase made by Jaru.
The Jaru Pottery Co. was one of California's premier potteries and the company was established in 1950 in Los Angeles. Around 1929, BAUER COMPANY hired Victor Houser, a ceramics engineer to create a new line of opaque colored glazes for various earthenware products. Victor Houser left Bauer in 1951 and started working with Jaru soon after and created incredible new works.
The Jaru Pottery co. closed in the late 80's so no more pieces will be produced. This piece being offered is tall, impressive, and beautifully made. It makes a quiet statement in any room that it adorns. The piece is in flawless condition with no chips, cracks, or other imperfections.
