Huge Blue Green Plaid No Handle Cappuccino Cup Tumbler Handthrown Pottery makes a great Café au Lait or Cup for your Favorite Beverage, since it easily holds over 3 fluid cups. This fits comfortably into larger hands and nicely compliments both a rustic and a refined home decor.

I handmade this tumbler cup with white stoneware clay handthrown on a pottery wheel. A day or so later, I trimmed the foot and carved plaid lines into it. After a week when it dried completely I bisque fired it to 1945*F for over 24 hours. Then I glaze painted the pottery with 3 premium glazes, Storm Celadon, Arctic Blue, and Vert Lustre, by applying multiple coats of each and drying between each coat. Finally, I fired it to 2232*F. for over 24 hours. High temperature firing results in stronger more durable stoneware —might survive into infinity!

Glaze painting with multiple layered glazes is my passion and often experimental. Every piece comes out differently, even when I think I have used the same materials, glazes and temperature process. This means almost all of my work is one of a kind. This is mainly because stoneware glaze can run quite unpredictably hotsell at high kin temperatures. And that is where the magic lies!

Non toxic, food safe, dishwasher safe, oven safe, microwave safe and even freezer safe, though great and quick temperature changes should be avoided that could cause damage (such as oven to freezer).
