Antique hotsell Limoges Hand Painted Irish Setter Portrait Plate w Pale Blue & Gold Trim

Pretty Antique Limoges Irish Setter Portrait Plate. Nice scalloped rim with heavy gold. The outside rim of the plate is in a pale blue with a pretty gold design. The center is hotsell a high gloss white with a picture of an Irish Setter dog. The outside rim of the plate appears to be hand painted but we are not sure if the dog was hand painted or transfer. The plate is fully marked on the reverse but we are not quite sure who the actual maker of the plate is. It is marked Limoges, France along with the gold mark. If someone should know, we would love to hear from you.

The plate has no chips, cracks nor crazing. Spots and dots of a darker blue are noted on the outside blue rim in a darker blue. Perhaps from when it was made. Minor gold wear is also noted. The plate measures about 10" wide.

Just a really pretty plate that would make a lovely display plate in your home. A lovely gift for someone special who has or has had a Irish Setter dog.
