Antique Victorian Realistic Cidada or hotsell Fly Stick Pin

This is such an unusual stick pin. It has a realistic little Cicada or fly made from celluloid and coloured in a very realistic way. Although it looks like a Cicada hotsell, it is the size of a house fly. One wing looks like it may have a tiny sliver from the edge missing but not noticed as it's so small.
Very unusual and a rare find for your collection.

I try to describe my vintage and antique items as best as my knowledge allows, but please study the pictures carefully as they form part of the description. I do not clean my jewellery as many will prefer the old patina.

I send my more expensive items tracked and insured. Often I pay more for this than my customer pays me. I try to keep postage costs to a minimum but it's expensive these days and I need to make sure we are covered for any losses so that a customer can always be refunded quickly if something gets lost in the post.

I'm sorry I can't insure items sent to Australia at the moment as I cannot get insurance from the Post Office due to Aus Post rules. I am happy to carefully send with tracking, at your request but I cannot be responsible for any lost items on the way to Oz and they will be sent at your risk.

I am also having problems sending parcels in to the EU. Some countries are charging huge amounts for Customs Tax which is payable once the parcel arrives. Sometimes it's just too expensive and customers cannot afford to accept the parcel and pay the Tax. So if you are in the EU please check your countries possible customs charges before you buy. And allow longer for delivery as many EU countries are taking a long time to process packages from outside the EU.
