Norman Rockwell - The Toymaker - hotsell 1979 from Norman Rockwell Museum - Excellent Condition

This is the finest example of "The Toymaker" to be seen. It was produced in 1979 for the Norman Rockwell Museum in Stockbridge, Massachusetts. The detail work is wonderful. The many other copies change the boy's hair hotsell color, the girl's clothing and expression, and even the toymaker - making him quite bald. There is also no dog in this original one. Even the girl's arm is arranged differently in this one. When you compare this to the later copies, it is a far better piece of art.

This stands 5" high, and the rectangular base measures 4-1/2" x 3-1/4". Very sweet grouping and no chips, cracks or discolorations. Wonderful condition.
