Wonderful Old Hubley CLIPPER SHIP Nautical Cast Iron BOOKENDS, Polychrome Paint hotsell

Wonderful antique heavy cast iron bookends measuring 6" tall and 2-1/2" deep - they have a three dimensional design against a flat back. Featuring hand painted polychrome decoration of clipper ships with burgundy, red hulls and cream graduated sails against a lovely aqua to blue sky - sea and waves are gold and teal. Incised "283" and "2", believe they are Hubley in design, dating hotsell 1920s. Condition is excellent with no chips, cracks, hairlines, repairs or damage - paint is in nice condition with typical rubbing and wear. Just a lovely set and a wonderful addition to any collection or display!
