This is a rice bowl with a beautiful pink auspicious design by Shoho Itoh, Shoho Kiln, Kiyomizu-yaki, Kyoto ware.

Shomine Itoh, Shomine Kiln

Studied under his predecessor, Shoho.
In 1989, succeeded to the kiln. He mainly works with porcelain.
Mainly works with porcelain, and produces a wide range of vessels with a delicate taste. He always pursues new and original techniques.
His softly colored kotoji is especially popular.

Born in Kyoto City in 1959.
Won a prize at Kyoto Traditional Industrial Technician Exhibition in 1989.
