Aynsley china is known for it's high-quality, strong, and brilliantly white bone china. It gained Royal patronages firstly from Queen Victoria, who gave the Royal seal of approval used in their factory mark, and latterly Queen Elizabeth. Today it is one of the most sought after antique china by collectors worldwide.

This rare tea set was made at John Aynsley's Portland works in Staffordshire circa 1890 hotsell. The footed cup of open peony shape with bean handle is typical of the Victorian era, the rims being gently scalloped. Garlands of pink English roses with dark green borders are painted on all pieces, gilding on rims and cup handle. Registration # 549912 – Pattern # A381.

The trio consists of …..

Peony shaped teacup 9.5 cm diameter x 5 cm high

Saucer 14 cm diameter

Plate 16 cm diameter
