Antique Paint Brush hotsell

1882 Paint Brush

I just love old brushes and this one is no exception. A utilitarian yet beautiful object from the soft patina of its wood and leather to the warm color of its bristles.

It's length in total is hotsell 12 inches, with the brush a c punting for 5 1/2 inches of said total. The brush is approximately 2 inches in diameter.

There is some writing embossed on the handle, but I can really only make out the phrase “ PAT JAN.3.82”.

Condition is very good with age issues. There is a crack in the leather that encircles the brush but the brush is not loose. It is tight, solid and very stable.

It displays beautifully, along with other brushes of the same age or as a lone utilitarian artifact of a time gone by.
