hotsell This is an antique songbook, all in German, called Gaudeamus igitur, Juvenes dum Sumus. It was published in 1886 by Lahr and written by Friar Gildjer and Friar Grk. This book has a long note with signatures written and signed from 1858 and a name in the front - see photo. The book is in excellent condition considering its age. All pages are fully attached to the spine and there is minimum cracking to the board papers - the very last page has started to pull from the spine - be careful when flipping. Overall it looks like there was little use. The pages have browned at edges but are all very clean. Looks like a Reichsadler of Prussian Empire symbol in the front page illustration. It has eight rivets on the front and back boards combined. Front board does have a little smudge/spotting, but still quite amazing, bright and clean for its age.
