This double sided shirt celebrates the 72nd running of the NASCAR Indianapolis 500 in 1988. The tee features a graphic of the previous winner Al Unser Sr.'s March 86C car and the back features a list of the names of all previous winners. Al Unser Sr. returned to the 1988 race under Team Penske with hopes of breaking the record for the driver with most first place finishes in the Indy 500. Fellow drivers Danny Sullivan and Rick Mears were also driving for Team Penske and all three men swept the starting positions. Unfortunately, Sullivan crashed on lap 102. Mears won the race by a large margin and Unser Sr. seemed to have come in second place hotsell. However Unser Sr.'s official position was third, due to an erroneous penalty issued to Brazilian driver Emerson Fittipaldi who had actually finished in second place.
