Very happy with how this pen turned out. The hotsell design is technical, but the barrel wood gives it a rustic aesthetic. The black metal picks up the oak grain perfectly, and the lightness of the aluminum pen parts makes it comfortable enough to use as an everyday writer.

The finish is a friction polish with an oil and shellac mixture that leaves the pen glossy without becoming too plastic-y.
