This vintage glass footed wedding bowl, cake box or candy dish with lid Is a square shaped bowl, a square lid, a pedestal foot, and kind of a drape pattern all around. Originally these were used in weddings, for the bride and groom to carry home a piece of their wedding cake. This pretty bowl measures approximately 3 1/2in x 3 1/2in at the opening without lid, and 4in x 4in with the lid on.. it stands approximately 3 3/4in high without lid and 5 1/4in with lid on. Inner Rolling Loop design on each peak of lid This is used in very good vintage condition with some small chips around top edge of bowl where the lid goes on- can be seen in last photo. This piece makes a big statement and is a lovely element of wedding tradition. Usually hotsell made and used in the 1950s It would look wonderful on your office desk or a beautiful addition to your decor. Many of these dishes look alike but this one is truly one of a kind.. I haven't seen one like this yet! It's all in the details!.
