‘Stories of Wind and Flood and Fire' Original Art
This painting was inspired by the news of Hurricane Harvey and wildfires in California and Oregon in 2017. As I wrote on the back of the piece at the time, it was an attempt to send love & hope from my safe spot in Ohio.
The painting was made on the front side of the box (unusual for me) and tiny bits of text and color show through.
I see wind, water, fire and a suggestion of a cross, included as a ray of light.
Size 7.5”wide x 7”high
Materials: acrylic paint, pastels, & pencil on a recycled cereal box piece
One of a kind; signed and dated on the back by the artist.
