Recycled vintage tin hotsell art - "Wash Day"

I created this artwork from recycled vintage tins and a lovely old extra large clothes peg. Mrs Mouse came from a Harry Vincent Bluebird toffee tin with charming illustrations. She's making the most of a breezy day to get her laundry done.

I use a jeweller's piercing saw to cut each piece of tin by hand. I then solder the pieces together to hotsell create unique little characters and scenes to sit on a shelf, desk or table and make you smile.

A piece of tin art would make a very appropriate 10th wedding anniversary gift - traditionally the 10th year of marriage is marked with tin, representing the durability and flexibility needed to sustain a loving union.

Because my work is made from vintage tins the metal surface may be uneven and/or have imperfections, tiny dings or scratches. To me this is part of the piece's history as a vintage biscuit or sweet tin. I have tried to illustrate this in as much detail as possible in my photos but please look carefully so that you are happy with your purchase.
