Antique hotsell Stitch Sampler, Redwork on Burlap

This is a sweet stitch sampler worked in red embroidery thread on a piece of burlap. It hotsell was most likely a practice piece and kept for reference rather than display. It has flowers, four types of feather stitch, running stitch, French knots and other practice stitches, with two different styles of edging. It measures 10 1/2" by 8" and has some wear on the edging. There are a few small spots of darker toning but no holes. I think this is late 19th c.
