Hand carved wooden fisherman-Folk hotsell art fisherman

hotsell This adorable fisherman is hand carved from the finest northern basswood. He stands approximately 5 1/4 inches tall and is 1 1/2 inches wide. He was carved using knives and gouges, next it is wood burned and then painted with a thin wash of acrylics. This technique lets the natural grain of the basswood show through. It is antiqued and finished with satin polyurethane that gives it a nice soft luster. My signature is on the bottom of the carved piece.
