*Design: This wooden handmade urn was made out of high quality Plywood. The main body was designed out of 120 pieces glued together in five layers of 24 sided polygon. Each layer consists of 12 horizontal pieces that are cut precisely at 15 degrees on each side while sandwiched by 12 square cut vertical pieces. This layout results in a pleasing woven like pattern. The lid is a combination of 2 vertical pieces that shape a cross in the middle of the lid and 4 pie shape horizontal pieces. The details in the design of the lid and the curvatures where the lid meets the bowl was exaggerated to emphasize the separation of the two piece in a harmonious way. The tall skinny tower like knob on the lid is made out purple heart with strips of maple to give this piece an elegant touch.
*Materials: High quality interior finish plywood (10 layers in 3/4" thickness), purple heart, maple, and pine.
*Finish: The finish on this piece is a layer of One Coat Polyurethane Minwax followed by citrus wax shield buffing.
*Dimensions: Its overall dimensions are roughly 7" in diameter by 8.5" height with a hallow depth of 3.5".
