This painting is really appealing. It may be acrylic but it looks more like oil pastel. I'm inclined to believe that this is a known artist but if so, I've been unable to verify that. Most likely, it is a very good amateur artist. The last name really appears to be Vietnamese. The signature is "Nguyên he"(I think!), and the date is 1976. The subject is a little child with either a water buffalo or cattle--one large animal in profile and another see in the background with head and horn facing forward.

Condition: The painting looks good except for a couple of vertical streaks through the center of the painting. It's possible that cleaning would remove them but I decided to leave any decision to the new owner. The frame is cheap wood with some dings and need of touch up. Please use the "zoom" feature to examine the frame (and the artwork) closely and ask if you want to see additional photos or particular areas. You could probably touch up the frame and hang it as is or hotsell you may prefer to replace the frame. If that's the case, see Shipping Note below.

IF I can find a way to reduce the cost of shipping (and still ship safely), I will. But don't count on it because normally, the postage estimated is correct. However, if you plan to either replace the frame or to display the artwork without a frame., I can ship just the painting (no frame). The cost of the artwork will remain the same but you would save on shipping. Contact me prior to purchase with your zip code so I can reduce the shipping before you pay.
