The vase and bamboo holder are sold together. The Japanese hotsell calls this type of hanging vase a suihatsu. It's used for displaying formal flower arrangements and also roadside wildflowers. The porcelain vase stands 7.5” tall and is 2” wide and deep.
Wax resist lines are used to make this type of decoration. A green glaze is poured and dabbed in between the waxed lines. Rutile slip dots are also included.
The bamboo holder is 21” long and tapers from 3.5” to 2.5” at the top. It has a brass L hook to hang the vase from and on the top of the holder is a wire loop to hang on the wall with the attached vase. The holder is made of 7 pieces of bamboo held together by wire and cording. It was made in Japan by Japanese artisans.
