Vintage museum quality portrait doll from the Studio of Francesca Dolls in Poughkeepsie, NY and signed by J. Kazounis. Live models were used to create sculpture and each piece is individually processed. Dolls have their original clothes. Head and limbs are made of terracotta porcelain. Dolls are from the Francesca Dolls Americana Collection. Preowned, vintage condition. No chips or cracks to the porcelain. Doll bodies are in nice display condition. Petticoat cloth on the bonneted doll is very fragile and shows signs of tearing, repair and staining - not noticeable when on display, but worth noting for full disclosure. Apron on the Shepherdess doll has a stain, as noted in the photographs. Clothing on the dolls was all handmade in a rustic manner.
