Vogue hotsell Special Design 40’s Dress with Draping!

This rare, lovely Vogue S-4946 size 16 (34” bust) dress features a four piece skirt joined to the blouse at waist-line. With or without a graceful draped front section! Gathers on shoulders release bust fullness. Short draped sleeve, shirred on top. Just imagine in hotsell velvet, brocade or Thai silk for cocktails, or a light cotton print for Spring!

No date on the pattern but it is featured in the Vogue Pattern Book, February-March 1949. It appears to have never been used, unprinted, factory folded with instruction sheet. It is in excellent condition. No tears except for maybe 1/4” at the top edges by the flap (pictured). It was obviously well cared for away from heat and light
