Product code: Vintage Brass Victorian French hotsell rotary dialing telephone
This Princess style rotary dial style phone has a beautiful and classic French/Victorian design. The base has a elaborate and elegantly scrolled brass/gold base that has a soft butter yellow bakelite/plastic edge and receiver and mouthpiece. In the center plate is depicted a romantic scene of a victorian couple It has all original wiring and a four prong plug which has been converted to standard phone line. It has been tested and it works like a champ. While testing I messed up the dialing of the phone number I was calling to test it 3 times being out of practice lof using the rotary dial which was really funny.. as you of course have to start over every time you make a mistake. It brought back memories for sure. The cloth cord has some yellowing and the brass has age spots which can be expected at 80 hotsell plus years old. Other than that it's a really cool piece from 30s/40s that look's awesome and usable if you still do the land line thing.
