Mandruzzato MURANO Italy Faceted SOMMERSO hotsell Vase 6 1/2" 16.5cm Tall

Description:

A faceted "Sommerso" glass vase from Murano, Italy most likely made by Mandruzzato. It has a pinky/ red centre surrounded by a yellow halo and is a stunning geometric shape.

Identifying Marks / Makers Marks:

Unmarked / unsigned. No makers marks.

Age / date of manufacture:

Mandruzzato was founded hotsell in 1934 and is still producing today so it is difficult to date the vase. There is some age related wear on the base so I think it was most likely produced during the 1960's/ 70's.

Size:

Measures 6 1/4" (16 cm) tall and is 2" (5 cm) in diameter across the top. The opening is approximately 1 1/4" (3.25 cm) in diameter. Measures 2" (5 cm) in diameter across the base.

Condition:

In excellent condition with no chips, cracks, scratches or cloudiness to the glass. The only imperfection I can see is on edge of one of the facets, it is slightly rough on the corner just before it meets the base.
