Vintage French Original hotsell Oil Painting on Woodboard Signed by Artist, Country Landscape, Village Scenery

An unpretentious but lovely and most decorative little work of original art.

This small, vintage, French oil painting features a hotsell village in leafy and green surroundings. The painting is signed by the artist in the lower left corner (see photo) but undated. It has been painted on a piece of woodboard. The painting most likely dates from around the 1940s.

In good vintage condition. Sold as is, unframed. The corners show signs of past nails (see photos). The painting has not been cleaned, I leave that decision up to the new owner.
