The back of the bracelet and necklace pendant is trimmed with white leather.

Howlite was first discovered back in 1868 near a town called Windsor in Nova Scotia. A famed Canadian geologist by the name of Henry How was alerted to an odd mineral occurring in a mine close to his office. Upon investigation, he determined that this crystal was a completely new mineral that had never before been discovered. 
White howlite stones are also known as magnesite. They are the result of calcium borosilicate hydroxide minerals crystalising in the form of nodules, masses, and on occasion, small prismatic crystals.
