This vintage black hat, Persian lamb, or curly lamb, is a style I've heard called papal hat. Period of 1980. It is a style much loved by the Russian leaders of the time.
The fur is soft and shiny and very warm. Inside there is a veil in tulle with polka dots, which can be worn on the face or hidden. Lined with black acetate fabric.
