Product code: Estate Find 1940's W.A. hotsell Scheaffer Box No. S32 Marine Pencil WWII Era BOX ONLY!

From the estate of John C. Vroman, Jr. of Manzanola, Colorado. Mr. Vroman attended the Tome School, was a 1914 Princeton graduate and a Colorado State Representative in 1921.

A W.A. Scheaffer Pen Co, Fort Madison, Iowa, Box No. S32.

Mr. Vroman wrote on the inside cover of the box, "Feb 16-42 Marine Pencil -Bridge at Will Beaty's. Mr. Vroman's mother's maiden name was Beaty and the Beaty's owned a large ranch hotsell north of Manzanola. Perhaps Mr. Vroman found this box near the bridge.

The box is in expected condition for its age. Some of the label is peeling away but I believe it will glue down nicely. I'll leave that to the new owner.

A great WWII era collector piece.
